JRCLS Annual Conference at Harvard Law School

Brent and Lorinda enjoyed the annual J. Reuben Clark Law Society attorney-law student conference, which was held this year on February 12-14 at Harvard Law School. This is the last annual conference where Brent will serve as international chair of the law society. They enjoyed the ride from New York City and back with Clifford and Margo Blair. Brent and Lorinda stayed in the Cambridge home of family friend Jason Blosil. Images shown include Glenn Openshaw and Keith Thompson.

JRCLS Annual Fireside Satellite Broadcast 2008

Brent's first fireside as new international chair of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, broadcast live from the campus of ASU in Tempe, Arizona. Special guests for the 3-day conference included former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, Judge Sandra Rogers Brown, Elder Lance B. Wickman, and friend Sheri Dew, who gave a wonderful fireside presentation.

JRCLS Leadership Conference 2007

At the annual J. Reuben Clark Law Society Leadership Conference held at Aspen Grove and BYU Law School, Brent transitioned from Chair-Elect to International Chair of the Law Society. He succeeded dear friend Joe Bentley.

JRCLS Annual Conference 2007 at Pepperdine

Pepperdine University in ever-beautiful Malibu, California was the setting for the second annual attorney-law student conference of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, held February 16-17, 2007. As international chair elect, Brent attended and even tried his very first In-and-Out burger. (Verdict: "Delicious!")

The keynote event was a banquet held inside the Air Force One Pavilion beneath the large Air Force One plane at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley.

JRCLS Annual Fireside Satellite Broadcast 2007

Brent and friend Annette Jarvis served as co-moderators of a panel discussion on balance in the lives of LDS lawyers as part of the annual fireside of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, which was broadcast live from the theater at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City. Panelists included Elder Keith K. Hilbig, Elder Marcus B. Nash, and Elder Steven E. Snow, each of the First Quorum of Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. JRCLS Event at NYU Law School

Brent spoke to the J. Reuben Clark Law Society student chapter at New York University on the challenges and difficulties of approaching a legal career in New York from a family-values, moral/ethical and religious perspective. The event was held on Saturday, December 2, 2006, at 6:30 p.m. in Vanderbilt Hall, Room 204, and was broadcast to JRCLS student chapters around the United States.
