Mormon Tabernacle Choir Comes to New York City

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir performed at Avery Fisher Hall, located across the street from the New York New York Stake Center (and Manhattan Temple construction site) on July 2, 2003. The concert launched a yearlong commemoration of the 75th year of continuous broadcasting by the Choir.

Brent and Lorinda participated in the many festivities while the Choir was in town. Highlights included the Choir's stunning performance, plus meeting with Choir director Mack Wilberg, performance narrator Charles Osgood, New York Governor George Pataki, actress Cicely Tyson, New York State Senator David A. Paterson, and many others. Unfortunately, President Hinckley was unable to attend in person but Elder Spencer Condie read President Hinckley's prepared remarks.
