"In Sacred Loneliness: The Plural Wives of Joseph Smith"

In 1997 Brent engaged in correspondence with Todd Compton, author of a book on the plural wives of Joseph Smith. Brent's interest: To ensure that the story of Martha McBride Knight Smith Kimball, one of the Prophet Joseph's 33 known wives and Brent's third great grandmother, was told accurately. Unfortunately, some of the conclusions drawn in the final product, "In Sacred Loneliness: The Plural Wives of Joseph Smith," remained uncorrected. Still, Brent was surprised to see his contributions included in the endnotes to chapter 15, the chapter on Martha.
