After many years searching for a suitable location followed by a long construction period, the new meetinghouse that will serve as the new stake center for the New York New York Stake was completed and dedicated on Sunday, 22 October 2006 by Elder Earl C. Tingey. Brent conducted and spoke at the service.
The new building is beatiful--seven different styles of rich red brick, interesting architectural flourishes reminiscent of the Salt Lake Temple, five stories, underground parking, a full-size cultural hall, a wonderful suite of stake offices, lots of classroom and office space, etc.
